National and regional magazines

National magazines...

Hearst magazine- http://careers.hearst.co.uk

Hearst magazine is a magazine publishing company that gives career advice and details about the publishing of magazines. This company is nationally recognised by the public and creates many branded magazines, such as, 'Vogue fashion magazine' and 'Elle magazine'.

Mojo magazine is a common magazine which is also produced nationally within the UK. They advertise many concerts and events that are taking place in Britain/ Uk. There music taste has a wide variety and suits many types of genre.

NME music magazine- http://www.nme.com

NME magazine focuses mainly on the younger generation. As it looks at current famous artists such as 'Kanye West' for example. The music taste is also the top current charts. So, this type of music would appeal mainly to the younger generation than the older generation.

Regional magazines...

NE Volume magazine-http://nevolume.co.uk/gigreviews

NE volume magazine stands for ' North East Volume' magazine. This means the magazines published are only within the North east, including Sunderland, Newcastle and tyne and wear. The magazine website has a lot more information than the magazines produced. Gigs and live music reviews are able to be seen on the website. Therefore, the website is more popular than the music magazine.

The crack magazine-http://www.thecrackmagazine.com

The crack magazine is another regional magazine that is only within the North of England. This magazine focuses on more than just music but food, styles and fashion as well. In this case, the magazine reaches out to more than one selection of people. If people do not have a passion for music, they can still read this magazine. I quite like the use of typography used in the logo ' THE CRACK'. This is interesting and unusual.

M magazine has an interesting drop down list on it's website because it looks at more than one theme of music style. For instance, the list consists of classical and new music. Therefore, the target audience is both young and older genres.
