Colour scheme ideas

As for the colour scheme of my music magazine, i plan to make it have a high amount of contrast within the colours used. In order for it to stand out and capture the audiences attention. However, i do plan to keep the background to a dark colour tone so that the the typography on the page can have vibrancy and prevent any clash of colour with the background. Using both a bold background and text would make the design of the magazine look to bright. Leading on from this, it would make it look unprofessional. Also, it wouldn't reach the expectations of a published music magazine. For example, by a company like 'Billboard magazine'.

The colour scheme of my magazine will mainly use happy colours to create a positive mood on my targeted audience. I have researched a few ideas for colour schemes of music magazines and like the idea of using a strong combination of red, white and black. Especially for the front cover.
