Pitch, Brief and welcome

Hello, i'm Melissa and this is is my media studies blog.  I have created a blogger account, as it is the easiest technique to display my coursework and magazine ideas. I have been given the task to create a music magazine, front cover, contents page and double page spread. My magazine will have a target audience genre and age range and my posts will explain an give evidence of this. Using my blogger account, i plan to create a variety of posts that will be organised into different areas. For instance, time management posts, will be placed in a section named 'time management'. This means i know where the elements of my work are placed and it means i can enable that work is placed in titled areas.

 Throughout my blog, i will create posts which show the stages of development, music magazine research and my own knowledge and evidence of my music magazine. The main purpose of this is to explain my music magazine design in depth and to analyse and evaluate all aspects of my final outcome. In this case, i plan to have titles named;' Home, inspiration, similar products,deconstructions, drafts,potential target audience, time management, photoshoot organisation, recreation, flat plans/ rationales, evaluation and final products. Using these headings, i can make sure my work is laid out well and can be easily viewed by examiners/ markers of my product.

My intentions, are to look at real music magazine products and challenge their ideas. By doing research of official magazine and publishing company's i can have an idea of how the music magazine industry works and how i can create an outcome that gives a positive impact towards my target audience and readers. As well as this, it gives me a chance to understand the features, conventions, denotations and connotations of official music magazines and why they are used. Not only this, but why they create such a positive impact on the magazines, so they appeal to the public.

My blog will consist of JPEG images, as well as text and a few hyperlinks, which show that i have used different sites to create my evidence and research on. This is so i can show experimentation in my work. Hyperlinks may also lead to websites that are part of music magazine publishing.
