Inspiring Billboards

Using google images,i have researched billboards and posters that i find inspiring. I have chosen pacific ones because of their presentational features...

I really like this billboard which is an advertisement of McDonalds. Although the advertisement refers to food, it has a positive colour tone which creates a noticeable contrast. Leading to a high amount of smooth textures. I have chosen this inspiring billboard because it connects to my intentions of the creation my music magazine. These features are what will grab my targeted genre's attention and make an impact on my magazine.

Here is another billboard which i found fascinating. the 'Coca cola' billboard uses a repetitive series of  the same image. This makes the colours used a main focus. The red has a range of colour tone in it, which makes the design vibrant. In addition, i like the typography style that i used in the words 'coca cola'. The typography is cursive and has style to it. This is something i plan to consider when thinking about the text and font used in my music magazine. I want my font to be exciting and prove experimentation. If the font has style, then it links to the theme of the magazine being successful and having a positive mood. Furthermore, this will also make my audience have a positive mood towards the magazine if my font has energy.

The 'I tunes' billboard is inspiring because of how it uses a variety of font styles. This shows experimentation and thought of the theme of the board. As well as the atmosphere and mood it creates. 'I tunes' advertises upbeat music, such as the uk top charts. In this case, the font links to this idea and is energetic. The black and white image allows the white text to stand out be a main focus. Not only this, it allows any genre to be recognised. From old music, to modern music. I really like the black and white theme and the boldness of the font. I will take this idea into consideration aswell.
